Fishing licenses are required and available for catch and release only fishing in Aurora lakes: click on Register Online above and follow the instructions. Non-motorized and electric motor watercraft are allowed in Sunny Lake at your own risk. There is NO SWIMMING in City of Aurora lakes. Please practice social distancing and follow state and federal health guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy.

 About the Department

The mission of Aurora Parks and Recreation Department is to enrich individuals of the community by providing a wide range of recreational programs and clean, safe parks. The department shall also endeavor to preserve the cultural, historical and environmental resources of the City of Aurora. Parks and Recreation creates community through people, parks, and programs. We focus on:
