The City of Aurora has partnered with the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) to administer the city’s local income tax. Aurora’s income tax rate is 2% and is based on earned income and business net profits. For residents that work outside of Aurora, the city offers a 100% credit up to 2% for those residents who pay local income tax to the city where they are employed. The city’s Code of Ordinances chapter 187 details the city’s income tax policy. Should you have any questions regarding income taxes, please contact RITA.
